John McDonnell at the Labour leadership hustings joked that he wished he "could go back in time and 'assassinate Thatcher'".

Don't we all?

If you went back in time and assassinated Hitler, he could have been replaced by a more dangerous individual but I can't honestly see who was worse than Thatcher at that particular moment in time.

Unfortunately, she made her official visit to N° 10 today.

I definitely got the feeling that D Cam was less comfortable in her presence than Brown was.

She still thinks she 'saved the nation' instead of causing untold misery through her inept economic/social policies.

Oh, incidentally, this is me being relatively nice with respect to the old...

Well, of course he did.

He's a tad too much to the left for the right-wing Labour junta to swallow.

It's onwards and upwards to the right-wing überLabour youth camps and goosestepping further and further to the right until we begin to think of Thatcher as the good old days.
