I feel a wee bit guilty myself. In 2004-5, I was working in Portcullis House (the new parliamentary building) opposite the Houses of Parliament, above Westminster tube. One day, I was going through a set of swing-doors when I spotted Robin Cook a few yards behind me coming toward the doors. Being a gent, I held the door open for him until he came through. However, at the last moment, he stopped to peek at a thin file he was carrying. So, thinking he wasn't coming, I let the door go - just as he started walking again. Whack ! I got him fair and square ! I've always wondered it that impact later affected his health.
