Today is the first anniversary

of the bombings of the London tube and bus, which cost 52 lives and injured many, many more.

If Hitler couldn't bomb this country into submission, the Islamic fundamentalist certainly won't.

We will remember.

Whenever I think of 7/7, I'm always reminded of the Mark Steyn headline: "Muslim community leaders fear reprisals over tomorrow's train bombings." It was testament to the power of the PR of said community leaders, and the strength of white liberal guilt, that an actual hate crime against Londoners was turned, within a matter of hours, into the Muslim community being in a state of fear and alarm over potential hate crimes. Not even the IRA, or the Nationalist community in NI, managed such a trick during the Troubles.

God help those who suffered and continue to suffer from 7/7.

I remember being wonderfully pleased that of my friends who worked in an affected area, one was off sick, and one, with his usual lack of punctuality, and missed a train.

A terrible day, and a terrible act.

Bless his tardiness! I think if this had been me I would be quite tempted to throw my watch in the garbage and be just a little late to everything for the rest of my life.

A horrific act upon innocent people and I hope those that died that day rest in peace.

One of my favorite quotes would apply here . . .

Never give in, never, never, never. Never give in.
(The number of nevers may be off but the thought is correct! )

My sympathies and supportive thoughts for all as well.

I dont know what makes you think its guilt. We British do not want to witness genocide and ethnic cleansing on our island - which is what would ensue eventually if the government went along with those convinced all Muslims are terrorists. Many of us went to school with Muslims live in Urban areas with Muslims etc so we would rather learn to live with people rather than blame the entire Muslim community . I guess we are too educated these days for blind fear to make us behave like that. However If there are more attacks I do wonder how long this will last.

When the Prime Minister invites the Muslim Association of Britain to Downing Street on the back of terrorist attacks by Muslims, one can only consider that he is doing so out of imagined guilt.
