New Zealand Miners.

This is a shocking business, hopefully there will be some good comes out of it. People think they have problems and get steamed up about nothing, this community has real problems!

Terrible news this, to folk here new Zealand is just Britain with a better climate, most of us have connections there, I lost buddies in a pit blast, it must be thirty years ago, there families were never the same afterwards. No pits in Scotland now but a huge opencast industry.

Such sad news for the families involved, including the 2 Scots miners who were in the blast and their family members living in Scotland, so far away from the scene.

Two mining disasters, just a couple of months apart, and yet what a different outcome for the Chilean miners.

RIP.
