Scotts were in Colinton Dell. I well remember walking the railway and the tunnel in the dell, dicing with death when the oats freighters went through!

Sadly, the whole area of the dell that had a manufacturing base (there was also a pulp paper mill, I seem to recall) has now been covered in new, expensive housing, although the dell is still as pretty as ever - and the railway tunnel that used to carry the pulp and oats and where we used to dice with death by daring one another to walk through, is now a designated walk on the Water of Leith!

Aye, oatmeal... AZZIF! Mind you, I use oatmeal to make oatcakes and other comestibles!
