So he has got ancestry in Bundesrepublik Deutschland AND possibly the Irish Republic


I learned an interesting phrase today on another thread "selling their beliefs". I wonder if this qualifies.

She is a german - the windsors changed their name after ww2 - from van de goth generator or something - historical fact

Not quite. The change was in 1917 - during the First World War.

(Before House of Windsor, it was the House of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha by the way)

Ah yes, but the House name and the surname were different. At the point of the change, their actual surname was believed to be Wettin. Although obviously nobody used it.
