If you get a tourist guide of the 1950s/60s and check what Scotland had Tourists could see ,The shipbuilding on the Clyde,The steel mills in the west , The linen works in central Scotland, the many ships at Rosyth Dockyard, the fishing fleets up the east coast,The new housing schemes and new towns of Scotland,The coalfields of Fife,and many many other things what can we fill Tourist guides up with.. now, the steel works closed and all steel went to England to be made, The coal fields of Scotland all closed and stayed in England,the ships at Rosyth dockyard disappeared to Devonport England, as well everyone knows most industries were closed in Scotland and stayed in England even our Scottish regiments were disbanded and what was left sent to england to train,Railways all closed in Highlands but keep the english railways, lucky to find a fishing fleet,lucky to find anything left in Scotland if it can be made in England, if they had the water and the knowledge no doubt they would try and make the whisky,
We have nothing left in Scotland except Whisky,and Pringle Jerseys,and Golf, we have to depend on the tourists, and they are few and far between because costs are to high for anyone to come and enjoy thereselves,,,,luckily most tourists are happy with Castles and mountains and Lochs, and romantic dreams of hairy men in Kilts,so maybe we do hate the English a little bit, but thats because Governments that we get create Racists they rob Peter to give to Paul,what industries do we have left that we had in 50s and 60s, ok England hasnt much left either but they still had it when we didnt,because its sent south,,,,,How many mothers have to phone Child benefit place main office in England, you can imajine the amount of workers there that have asked my sister if Scotland is in North of England somewhere and a 5 minute call takes ages as they cant understand each other,frustration sets in then agro,
Disabled main offices in England, Black watch regiment in England,everything is sent to england and now we have inbsurance companies in Glasgow etc all being sent to England and India and god knows where else,so I suppose some scots hate the way the scots are treated by English,
its well known fact in sport we scots generally support only two countrys ourselves and anyone playing England,
the first agro between Scotland and England in sport was in 15th Century, two armys started to play a form of football and a English soldier shot the ball with an arrow,big battle started,so nothings changed,Wonder if as many women scots feel same as many Scots feel towards English,,,but think the English they hate, well thats a bit strong say dislike is from London south, because Geordies and Yorkies and Lancs are ok fine Folk, What do you think,,,,,, why did England get best of the barrel,,,,and if you go to Europe why do most Europeans dislike English and love the Scots,

You write a lot of racist drivel. I read your comments re the 'helplines' from Asia.... you appear to be a xenophonbic person - who seems to feel that everyone else is trying to 'do down' Scotland.


Scotland is a vibrant country - we accept those from other nations - and they add to our diversity. This does NOT mean we are not proud to be Scots.

Jings it will not do if we speek about the english and all the immigrants,,,english have downed scots for many many years we never heard the word Racist then its alright fer the english to speak about the scots then and about the irish and welsh but dont let us speak about your lot then were Racists,there is no freedom of speech left because of all that crap,and i still want Independance and I still want the english to pay for what they get from Scotland from then on after all they have bled us dry for years,but as Burns said there is always scots who will sell their country for a bag of gold and I dont think things have changed when I hear folk like yersel going on
I dont want Scots men and women cast on the dole and living in poor quality housing then invite thousands of foriegners into our country when there is no room fer them and they become a larger burden on the country,Never mind if we do get millions of immigrants England is the place to keep them,thats why some english move here to scotland they canna move in there own country for them is that what you want in Scotland,many of us dont.and if I cant speak how I feel then I will just have to be a Racist,cant remember anyone using that word till all immigrants came to UK.
