* Roomy catchall storage bins and baskets---laundry baskets, moosular plastic storage cases or cubes, dishpans, and milk crates---are great for storing toys. Bright colors make the job more pleasant.
* A clothes hamper or a laundry bag makes deposititng dirty clothes eay and convenient. * A large conveniently placed wastebasket goves lids an easy a;ternative to throwing trash on the floor. * Shoebags hung on the closet door at your children's height help them to keep their shoes together. CHILD'S PLAY From an early age, children can clean their own rooms. Arrange the room to facilitate this. Install low horizontal shelves, cabinets, dressers, and other units instead of tall, vertical cabinets or storage units. Keep toys and books that are used constantly on open shelves and favorite toys on a low, open shelf in the closet. Periodically, you and your child shoul sort out toys that are broken or no longer interesting. This will reduce the number of toys and make it easier for your child to put toys awaay. |

Texasmujer bellisima,
Remember I told you last year my goal was to get a new dining set and a fridge and some new doors? Well I GOT THEM!! I am so happy. I got a raise at work for being very PRODUCTIVE and so on, and got enough saved up to buy a new dining room set. My husband and I shopped around a new furniture store and we both agreed on a rustic outdoorsy but fun and sturdy style. The chairs though turned out to be a bone of contention. I wanted really expensive chairs with faux suede seats and wide and comfortable and with a Spanish Mission style, and he wanted something cheap and plentiful. I won out. And now my kitchen looks so much better. The fridge, Texasmujer preciosa, I could not buy brand new. It would have been over $1500 bucks! But I got a 'reconditioned' similar two door side by side one with ice maker and automatic water dispenser for a lot less!! I also bought a dryer! Used and in good shape. My next things on the list are pretty window boxes and the doors I like to replace in the front. I went to a custom design door place and got frightened out of my wits at how EXPENSIVE THEY ARE!! do you know a solid mahogany door with hand sculptured Spanish style in the front is over $6000 smackers a piece? Might as well get a new car than two well made front doors. I think I am gonna have to settle for a cheap home depot one with a security door and plant some peonies out front. What do you think? BTW, my husband has not cut the front lawn and the grass is nearing knee level. The lazy one. Lol. I promised to iron all his shirts this weekend if he cuts the front grass. Let us see. His veh is accumulating trash again and he left some junk mail in my car again!! Pero. Lo amo. Lo quiero. Es mi amor. Mi vida. Con la basura que deja en el carro y todo!! PRgirl.

Yes, PRgirl, I know things are outrageously expensive!! I, too, have started to buy some things 'used'...and, I feel SO MUCH smarter doing so!! It saves SO MUCH money---money that I can then use for other goods...that are good, only, they just aren't 'brand new' (I have my "ex"...the doctor, to thank for some of this...he was SO impressed wtih things 'shiny and new'---WOW---I'm SO glad I got off THAT merry-go-round!) ANyway, Bueno suerte con todas algunas cosas! I'm forgetting all my Spanish...I just do not use it.
and, it was such an effort to learn it...it is such a pretty/fun language to use! (Ya'll, sorry about stsratying from the 'official' topic!) ![]() |
