What is a healthy room temperature for livingrooms and bedrooms ?

What are some ways of staying warm with a lower thermostat setting ?

68 to 70 is a good temp
Wear a sweater instead of a t shirt.
Wear slippers to keep your feet warm.
When doing house work you can turn temp down as you should keep warm with the exercise of cleaning.

Thanks. My mother, born in Edinburgh, always kept the house at 68F. She would say "if your cold put a sweater on". She knit me several.

My wife keeps our house about 80F and she is still cold.
Perhaps she will warm up if I do some vacuuming.

Humidity is a factor

In our home the thermostat setting varies with humidity as well. Cool and damp = 72. Cool and dry, or hot and dry = 68. Hot and humid = 66. Sleeping temperature = 60 to 66 as anything warmer is somewhat uncomfortable for sleeping. That is only my opinion though as I personally prefer the cooler climes.
