An easy way to remove oily marks from clothes is to dab the mark with eucalyptus oil then, soak in soapy water over night then wash as normal and the oily mark will be gone.

That's excellent!

Thanks, I might have to try that!

Hello Possom

Welcome to S.com.. it is nice to see new members joining us here...Thank you as well for the tip!

I was curious however, Oily Marks? Any type of oil? Many a time I've been eating salad with Oil & Vinigar.. and dropped it on my lap. Is that the type of oil your talking about? or was it more then one kind ie: motor oil or like the oils for buringin lanterns???

Thank you for your welcome,
It works great on food stains and splatters from cooking. I haven't tried it on motor oil. It smells wonderful.

hi

In my language Kia Ora (hello) another good use for that oil is keeping ants out. I soak a cotton ball in oil and then just wipe along skirting boards, window ledges, etc. also leaves a nice aroma in the air to breathe in

I find Eucalyptus oil in the detergent isle of the supermarket in a little brown bottle, similar to a medicine bottle. It is very poisenous if swallowed and has a child proof lid. It can also be used to romove the sticky residue left behind after removing stickers from hard surfaces. Another use is, a few drops in boiling water and inhale the steam to clear the nose if suffering from a cold.
