*An old sheet can transform a scond hand sofa into a couch
where yo'll be sitting pretty.

*Twin sized sheets from mom's linen closet are the perfect size for drapes to keep our on those mornings you just can't make it out of bed.

*A sheet suddenly becomes a tablecloth when placed on top of an old table or trunk storing your stuff.

*A sheet---or even a shower curtain---can act as a makeshift door to an open closet or a room you wish to
divide.

*Use paint, ribbons, and anything else you can think of to add exxcitement to a boring room. String some funky ribbons through pre-cut holes along the edge of a white pollowcase. Tie the ribbons into bows and suddenly you've got a new (and cheap) accessory.

*Christmas lights, lava lamps, and black lights are an easy way to brighten up a dull room.

*8torage space is easy to come by when you prop your bed up on cinderblocks. Make sure to have an extra bed skirt in order to hide thejunk you pack under your bed. *Use a multicolor tapestry to cover plain white walls.

*Paint your ceiling the wackiest color you caqn find (and live with!)

*Hit the poster stores and museum stsores for great wall art.

*Keep your Christmas lights up year round.

Texas,
Most of you ideas are really good but depending on your age and financial standings there is always other things.

1. Dark paint on the walls or ceiling is giong to make everything come inward- appear smaller, very helpful if the room is really large and you would like it to appear smaller. But if you're trying to make the room appear larger go with lighter colors, sheer fabrics on windows etc.

2. I don't necessarily know about using sheets. You can go to great flea markets, athrift stores vintage shops and find great table cloths and sometime slipcovers for great prices.

3. Don't necessarily use lighting just because it looks cool. You need to find the lighting that is suitable for the situation task in perticular.

Just suggestions

But...your suggestions are 'right on the mark', and good! The idea of going to a flea market for slipcovers is really good; useful, too!

E-Bay is a great place to find a ton of bargins. Also you
can find good bargins @ consignment shops but, they do tend to be a bit more pricey, however, they sometimes run good sales @ the end of each season. Check out GOOGLE too.
My sister who isn't hurting for $$$ does a lot of shopping at thrift stores. She really gets some good looking, in style and name brand clothes.
Someone got some great deals at our local thrift store last week. I donated a 2 year old sleeper loveseat, in mint condt., plastic was still on the mattress. Used maybe 3 times. A smokeless greaseless indoor grill & a lg. electric griddle. All in good working order. I Just don't use them anymore. Oh, almost forgot yard sales can be a great way to find bargins. They can be a lot of fun too.
