Taking frequent inventory of medications and cosmetics can free up storage space and, more important, offers a reminder to replace those that are past their prime.

Surprising as it may seem, the medicine chest is not the best place to store medicine. The buildup of heat and humidity in most bathrooms can cause medications to lose their potency and expire before the expiration date on the
label. Old cosmetics can breed bacteria after a few months. They should be replaced every so often. *unless
you're taking a prescription medicine that will be running a short course, store all medicines in a cool, dry place. *Most medicine-bottle caps are child-resistant but not childproof. Be sure to keep medicines out of children's reach.(Again, I don't know about this in your country---)
*Don't transfer pills and tablets from their original bottles to other containers; doing so increases the chance that you will take the wrong medicine or take your pills at the wrong time. *The best way to dispose of expired medicines is to flush them down the toilet or grind them in the garbage disposal. *Any cosmetic product that changes color or develops an unfamiliar odor should be discarded immediately. *Clear out aging and under-used products at least twice a year. Throw away eye makeup after three months. The eyes are more susceptible to infection than other parts of the body. *Be sure to keep cosmetics containers tightly closed when you are not using them. *Kaap makeup out of light.

[i]Hello All....

Texasmujer Can I just say..
WOW!
lol..

You know so much.. and I am amazed at all the stuff that one may think on but then just forgets.. lol..

I don't keep a solid memory of the meds in my cabinet, or even the fact that the Bathroom does get hot.. then cold, etc.. and in fact, I just throw it all in the trash.. What a waste of money eh? lol

As far as Cosmetics.. well.. If it lasted that long, then perhaps it would apply.. but I somehow always find myself needing to replace the wee bit that I buy often.. A drunken nite out.. tends to always make me loose something.. lol.
he he he

Thank you again for all the great advice
