Have a problem with dust bunnies? If you name them, they won't be SO unbearable, and you can keep up with them, then.

Aha - mine are dust MAMMOTHS!

However, I love the name idea. In fact, I've met it before: many years ago, my then boyfriend, having said (very proudly) that he had tidied up his room a lot, was displeased when I pointed out that what he had really done was to collect all mess into one BIG pile, and put it in a corner.

He said - "no - that is NOT a mess - that is Eric! And he can live there and he does no harm - he is OK really"

Oh, haha, very funny, says Celyn, but..........yes, this ruse worked - one simply got used to "Eric" as being an entity who lived in the corner - to the extent of "good morning, Eric" and so on.

A year later, I think, visiting a friend (beginning of term, both of us having arrived, perhaps unpacked, but not exactly put things in proper places)........she was sad about the big heap of clothing and books. SO, I was able to tell her that giving it a name would be better. That particular one, I think, was named "Friedrich". Not a bad chap, Friedrich, and he did die off gradually!

He,He,He...that was SO VERY GOOD. I swear this site is making me healthier: when a person laughs, they release endorphins, which help reduce stress and generally makes a person feel better. Now, if it will only help me lose weight!! I plan to return to my apartment, to name MY piles of "stuff"!

[i]lmao..

What is the deal anyway eh? I can't stand all the dust.. lol.. it seems to be everwhere .. lol..

I find that the rooms.. like the spare bedrooms are less dusty.. compaired to the rooms I'm in all the time.. and mine.. well.. lol.. It's not just Just Bunnies.. lol.. they have all actually grown HAIR! aye.. lol.. Cat hair intertwined with the dust.. urggggggggggggg.. lol..

So.. If it is possible.. I suggest keeping the doors closed to the rooms that you don't use often.. lol.. Since my wee mites came to live here.. I keep the doors closed to the bedrooms.. lol.. It does help a wee bit..

Happy Dusting

Mistress

I definately understand the whole cat hair dirt balls thing.Being an owner of a long haired white cat it's horrible it's everywhere.I try to clean in here and it's flying everywhere I think if someone walked by the window they would think it was snowing lol. Then on top of it he goes around pulling out the dustbunnies from under the stove and and fridge and playing with them lol.

Dust bunnies! What fun! Normally, I love it when my rooms are neat and tidy, but there are places you just cannot clean every day, for instance behind the oven... There are no dust bunnies - it's dust BEARS!!!! LOL
