I'm being immersed

Hi all,

I'm new to this board but I am in need of some information. I have the opportunity to live and work In Scotland for a semester. I am in the information gathering process and have been looking for information on what the daily lives of people who live in Scotland are like. I realize that no two areas will be alike but I am have a harder time than I thought. Most of the things that I find on the web are mostly about tourist things. I want to know what LIFE is like. If anyone could help me with this, that would be great.
