Help wanted with Scottish heraldry!! Urgent!!!

Hi,

I wonder if anyone could help me?
We used to have a flag in our family, by its size I would guess that it was a war standard, but I am not sure. It disappeared long ago...
It showed a sort of wild cat with a dragon's tail and hindlegs. The tail ended in a broadsword, which actually was growing out of the tail. Has anybody ever heard of such a creature in Scottish heraldry? Any information would be greatly appreciated, even if it was a book or internet link.

There are some very knowledgeable people there - just post and see what they say. I don't recognise what you are describing, but there should certainly be plenty of opinions on rec.heraldry!

thank you very much, I have posted my request and now I will see if anyone can help me. It is a pity that the flag itself does not exist anymore, but my mother is doing a draft, maybe it could help.
