Happy Hogmanay to you too! I've heard of this name before but not quite sure what it is though. Is it the same for New Year in the Celtic culture?

Thank you for the tip to Rob Roy. I´m interested in history of Scotland too. I´m not a native but your history is very exciting. I like your castles and have visited a lot of them
during my stays in Scotland.

The Celtic New Year is generally thought to begin Nov 1 (Samhain), Hogmannay is part of Midwinter Celebrations or Yule.
