Unhappy William Wallace Monument

I agree..loosing this monument for one who fought for the freedom of Scotland would be tragic. While doing the genealogy research on my father's line, I found William Wallace's family is connected. And to think of not being able to see this monument in the future of an ancestor who died for the freedom of Scotland. I had been planning a trip to Scotland for research and had specifically hoped to see this monument. What is the reasoning behind wanting to destroy this reminder of the determination and bravery of the Scottish nation? If anything, this historical marker should stand to remind all of Scottish heritage, who they are and the type of strength they came from. This possible destruction saddens me so much. Cynthia
