Thanks, Maddog! So it is only a quotation, then? Goody! Sigh of relief! And there was me thinking I'd have to start legal proceedings for libel! Hehehehe

Wink

No C. You can stay in Glasgow. LOL All I was saying was, I, me, The Bruce, will never recognise the English monarchy as my Queen or King. I am a Scotsman and a Nationalist, and believe one day we will have our FREEDOM!

BTW Charlie says HI! LOL

We forget Bannochburn, Stirling Brig, Falkirk and yes, even Culloden. I for one have not, and for as long as the blood runs through my veins, will never forget what The Bruce, William Wallace, Rob Roy and even Charles Edward Stewart fought for.

So, go back to England and tell your Queen, that Scotland’s son’s and her daughters are FREE!!!
What is it like to live in a fantasy world? I'm surprised your psychiatric institution allows you access to a PC, how very liberal of them! (There is a difference between being proud of your past and living in it!)

On a more serious note I'm really interested to know what you think Charles Edward Stuart fought for and why you think it has a relevance to your nationalism?

BTW I too will not sing that national anthem or bow down to those german inbreeds

I find it hard to believe why anyone would want to bow down to ANY king or queen, regardless of their country of origin.

Personally Id feel no more free bowing down to a king even if he lived next door to me.

I think the present Queen probably has a reasonable claim to be the legitimate ruler of Scotland inasmuchas she has a direct lineage back to the Stewart kings.Of course it should be remembered that the Stewart claim to the throne itself is dubious given that in terms of primogeniture-that is direct descent from the royal line-Robert the Bruce probably didn't have a legitimate claim to be the King of Scots in the first place. It could be argued that mediaeval Scots kings governed the realm by consent which for it's time was a very sophisticated concept of government.

Question Are Monarchies a Still Valid form of Government in your View Bruce and Andy J?

I know Thailand is still a monarchy, and other places as well...is it a good system or a bad system? What would be the advantages or disadvantages? Just curious.

Hola Andy te di una respuesta en espanol a tus preguntas en el otro hilo....

PRgirl.
