I admit to being unclear as to whether you are looking for a particular person,(but are not sure about the dates), or looking for any random person who died in one of those years.

Is it a case of picking out someone who died in one of those dates, or two people, on from each date?

Exclamation Famous Scots

A wee bit of research comes up with the following names :

Mungo Park 1771-1806 Explorer.
Alan Ramsay 1686-1758 Poet.
Robert Adam 1728-1792 Architect.
James Adam 1730-1792 Architect (brother).
Samuel Greig 1735-1788 Founder of the Russian Navy.
John Paul Jones 1747-1792 Founder of the United States Navy.
James Boswell (of Samuel Johnson fame) 1740-1794. Author.

Well, jeroen_sikma, do you think that will fill your newspaper. A bit more research wil get you more details into all these great men.

Cheers
Elmsella
