Talking

I am hoping someone can help me out My grandmother once told me how the clan name was changed by the King of Scotland.

The story I was told was the King fell off his horse wearing his armor and my ancester steadied the horse with one hand and helped the king mount his horse with the other. Now I have no idea if this is true or has been embellished over the years. I am looking for comfirmation of this story or someone who can fill me in on the proper facts.
