Looking for a good read...

On Scottish history enlightenment to at least ww2 if I can get to the 90s I would be happy... Any suggestions? Been reviewing some Amazon stuff anyone have any pointers that's not completely text bookie?

Try anything bt John Prebble an English-born Canadian, whose books are easy to read, although perhaps a little out of style.

Prof T C Smout. All his books are highly recommended.

I thought I'd edited this to add another name. Obviously a glitch.
