Anyone have stories similiar?

My grandfather,a Texas rancher, fed up with the shortage of women out on the range and faced with WW1, wrote home to his grandfather in NW Scotland, complaining about the hardships of being single.

So my great, great grandfather selected a Wright (McIntyre) and sent her to Texas. (Insert the obvious pun here.) They wed within two weeks of her arrival. Marriage only lasted 76 years.

And I have trouble ordering CDs off the Net!

Hey I have also heard of similar stories. And yes tell me about ordering something. Hey I've been trying to find a good, honest, faithful man, think mail ordering is still in use? LOL

I've heard of that. By the way didn't Sears & Roebuck use to have a catalog for mail order brides a long time ago?
