Glad you find it interesting. I enjoy posting in this section so too my friend The Bruce. You would be surprised just how little so many of our people know about the history of our wonderful country.
I was talking with friends about William Wallace at a party once, and a girl (Scottish) asked "Who is William Wallace?" I mentioned the film 'Brave Heart' and she said "Oh, you mean Mel Gibson!" My oldest girl is now starting to bring history home work, home, so I will be helping her with the history of our Country. |

Hi Charlie,
I have been reading your posts, as well as The Bruce's ones as well because I find that both of you know so much that are not mentioned in most history books. I find it very facinating to read so much and in so much detail from both of your posts....Keep up the good work!!! I will be waiting to read all of it. I'm not too familiar with Scotland's history, but I would like to know more.

Vivian,
If you want a quick look at what Scotland and the Scots have been up to, take a wee peek at the following site and its continuing pages Scotland - A Potted History http://www.elmsella.demon.co.uk/history1.htm Let me know what you think either be email or by leaving an entry in the visitors book.
