Im actually from Texas, Descended of the Vaus line who served the douglasses and lived in barnbarroch.I was raised with a knowledge of my heritage and i am fiercely proud of it. our family history is well documented and i am the keeper. this is a serious deal to my family and i was taught this from childhood. My older family has made trips to scotland, but ive spent most of my life in the housing projects and havent got enough money yet, as my first goal was to get out of that hell-hole. My other side is Duncan, but i have had a hard time finding more than a paragraph about them

That explains a lot!

Hey now, white americans have no culture but football, beer, and hot dogs. I know who i am and where my people come from. Damn You Cromwell! My ancestor married a Half-Scottish Cherokee princess named Wah-li and had a child know as chief James Vann (actually Vans, but dont judge him he was illiterate) Who was a 3/4 Scottish Cherokee chief! Took us a while, but in america we are no longer armigerous Though the indian is rather diluted in me Im green eyed, Red bearded and look right now like a bear in underpants
