The Greatest Scots

Maybe it's time Scotland picked its top 100 people (like the BBC poll Greatest Britons). What do you think about this list?

If you swop Robert Burns with your first choice it would match mine. Oh and yes it was John Logie Baird.

Scotlands Honours.

I have been reliably informed that Scotlands Honours are alive and well after their long sleep and are a devolved matter.

Wouldn't it be a fine thing to re-introduce them in different categories to mark recognition of those who enhance Scottish values and who have an international profile as well?

No time-servers or run-of-the-mill-politicians, or theatricals, but simply outstanding everyday, talented folk.

One I'd like to nominate is Eric Bogle.

The greatest Scot is Robert the Bruce. There would only be a region and not a country called Scotland had he not pulled Scotland back from the brink of annihilation by the invading English armies and Edward the 1st/2nd.

The only king I would bow to...
