Traitors tower

Scotlands National Hero William Wallace was betrayed by the Scottish Traitor John Menteith. Wallace was captured while asleep at robroyston Glasgow in the house of Ralph Rae a soldier of the garrison of Stirling Castle.. The compact is stated to have been arranged in the tower of old Rutherglen Kirk on the 5th of August 1305. THE TRAITORS TOWER still stands today in the old kirkyard in Rutherglen Main Street as a symbol to Scotlands many traitors of today. Sadly Scotland has gone from a nation of the greatest freedom fighters to a subdued colonial province which has more traitors than all the other nations of the world put together.

mate traitors are everywhere..
i don't think so that Scotland has the most traitors than all other nations of the world

but just think of this..

this is the magic of this situation..if we hadn't have traitors we wouldn't had have brave persons that made the difference..

these things are gone togethers..when we have betrayal we will have also bravery..

ps: sorry for my bad english

I'm not sure that his contemporaries would have considered Menteith a traitor in the sense that we might. For many it was a dynastic struggle between the Plantaganets and Bruce rather than a patriotic struggle. A lot of them chose sides for personal reasons which is why you have the Comyns and their kinsmen fighting for the English after the murder of John Comyn, and at least one of the signatories to the declaration of Arbroath fought on the English side at Bannockburn which evidently wasn't held against him.
