Certainly not. I've no idea who Hugh 2 is, but Raingeanach was probably an American. One who spoke no Gaidhlig, but pretended to.

I note Kern seems to have a fixation on me. As I said elsewhere, I am a Scottish, not an Irish Republican. I am also a Protestant. Ach well, looks like I'm about to have some experience of internet stalking... Yet another person who probably confuses football with politics.

I would have no doubt that Hugh2 is Raingeanach. I noticed a similarity between their style of posting but the use of the term north Briton to describe a non Gaelic speaking Scot confirmed it. I've seldom if ever seen the term used outwith this forum.

I've only ever seen it used in old books, and to describe Scots of a particularly unionist/anglocentric bent. Whether or not they speak Gaidhlig has never come into it.

I only go under one name on this forum. I don't see the point of another one.

You must lead a fairly sheltered life, Andy - it's common parlance on many nationalist sites to describe unionists and their ilk, though I have never (except in Raingannach's case) seen it applied to non-Gaidhlig speakers...

The "Scotsman" newspaper is often referred to as the "NorthBritishPerson" due to its PC/unionist stance

Kern seems to be one of those football supporting clowns with a limited vocabulary and even less knowledge of his country's history. Better not tell him who Bisexual Billy's sponsor over in Ireland was, eh? The truth often gets his type all upset...

It's not that I live a sheltered life but I don't frequent many nationalist sites even though I am a nationalist- they tend to have a bit too much flowery and "patriotic" rhetoric for my tastes. I have in fact seen the phrase used before- I'm aware that many Victorians self consciously styled themselves North Britons because they wanted to show their pride in Britain rather than Scotland but I always understood it be an archaic term and it's not one that I come across very often.

"Misguided men" - Really? I class you as a misguided Scotsman/North Briton. Prove me wrong. Are you capable, as a non-misguided Scotsman, of reading and ,more importantly, understanding Highland Songs of the Forty-Five from cover to cover? Yes or no?

If not ,you are a North British chancer.

What you class me as doesn't greatly concern me because I just class you as a bigotted crank whose opinions are too outlandish to be taken seriously.
