I can supply you with a handful -

Ancient Lothian (well designed site, but with one or two errors here and there)
Ancient Lothian: Historic South-East Scotland

Abandoned Communities (most of the ones mentioned are Welsh, and quite a few are English, with the remainder being Scottish - however, a pretty interesting site - the communities were abandoned for various reasons)
Abandoned Communities

I've heard Polwarth (yes, like the name of the poster here!) in the Borders described as an abandoned community. In reality, it seems to be a much shrunken one, as people still live there. I could name a few other places, such as the Isle of May, which had towns and villages, which no longer do so.

Am Baile - Highland History and Culture (a good set of resources, which has obviously had some time and money put into it - my one criticism is that it's complicated to get round)
Am Baile - Highland History & Culture

St Kilda
St Kilda - National Trust for Scotland World Heritage Site

Scottish Labour [i.e. work] History Society (could be better, but anyway)
Scottish Labour History Society

Scottish Mining Museum

Thanks Scottish Republican I will have a look at those sites you mentioned!

As for the other "history" forum I am a member of, its more like an anti-English/British/Campbell propoganda forum. At times certain members are even anti-Scots in Scotland and certainly seem to consider themselves more Scottish than those of us here! Maybe that's why the forum's kept hidden from anyone who isn't registered!
