I know Tuesday is past and therefore history but don't you think it would be better posting this in the 'INN'
(I can move it over for you if you like)

I have never had the pleasure and experience of them or any other soldiers

The Black Watch

But this is a topic for the history section, cos the Black Watch are also history now, aren`t they? I thought all the regiments were getting scrapped, and one big regiment called The Royal Regiment of Scotland was going to be created?

PS What`s the INN?

A new super regiment is to be formed which will be known as The Royal Regiment of Scotland.
It will have seven battalions, two of which will be in the Territorial Army.
The Kings Own Scottish Borderers and the Royal Scots are to be amalgamated to form a
new Battalion.

More info here..... The Royal Regiment of Scotland - New Scottish Super Regiment in the Scottish Division

Scotland Dot C*m*on Inn is the Inn - - thought you would have known that by now as you have
been here for few years now

I was thinking it more for the 'INN' as teashoci was saying that he was approached by the
Black Watch and not saying anything about the history of the Black Watch itself !!

For some reason they seem to be having serious problems convincing the cannon-fodder to join up these days. The greatly increased chance of being killed or maimed in an illegal war wouldn't have anything to do with it, I suppose?

I was being tongue in cheek, actually.

Anyway, I may have been on this site for a few years, but I spend my time - usually - in the "Language" forum, very rarely making forays into the other discussion topic forums, such as this one.
The main reason for this, is that I very rarely have much interest and therefore little input to make on the topics outside of the language forum.
