Mary Queen of Scots - Help Needed

Hi all

I was wondering if any of you may be able to help me. My girlfriend said in a drunken state about a year ago that, if I was to ever ask her to marry me, I should try and get a certain type of ring for her.

Me being me, and also quite drunk, I can;t quite remember the name. However I do remember she mentioned something about Mary Queen of Scots and a connection to this type of ring. I'm not sure if it was a special type of ring commissioned for her, but there was definitely some connection.

Also I remember the words 'Freshwater Pearl' and possibly also 'white gold'. A quick searhc on google reveals MQoS' fondness of Freshwater pearls, but I cant find any reference to a type of ring.

If anyone can cast some definitive light on this it'd be much appreciated and, if you happen to live in Edinburgh or around, I'll owe you a few drinks.

My girlfriend is from Edinburgh by the way. I'm from Lancashire and we live together in Leith.
