In response to those who wished a translation of my gaelic sentence (I know this isn't history - but thought those who were interested would be more likely to see it here). I understand the reasoning behind closing the thread & if the moderator wishes to move this to the language forum, its fine with me.

Anyway... in response to Fuathas' question to Rainy

A bheil Gaidhlig agaibhse fhein?

I said

Cha robh de Gaidhlig aige na thogadh uimhir is facal!

which means in English "He had so little gaelic he couldn't recognize a word"

My spelling and/or grammer could be off from time to time, as my own gaelic is pretty sparse.
I check the spelling in MacBain's, but sometimes get my grammer mixed up.
