PRgirl, "The Orange order was originally a fraternity which was formed to uphold the rights of northern Ireland's protestants in the face of the threat of violence from Ireland's catholic community." i would like to see evidence to prove this statement. the orange order was merely revived to oppose home rule in ireland it was certainly not due to a so called " threat of violence from irelands catholic community". not only is this bias but it is also very racial. it shows your ignorance to the whole situation and i would suggest that you get your facts right before you exclaim such rubbbish in the future. as i can remember was it not the catholic community who were burned out of their homes in the sixties and indeed a vast majority of them had to seek refuage in the south. |
