Why? Does one have to speak "proper" English to not be a moron? Personally I find poor spelling, grammar and punctuation more "moronic" than spikkin guid braid Scots.

I have three pieces of advice for you:
1. Get over your cringe.
2. Don't ever go to http://www.firstfoot.com as you may explode with boiling blood.
3. Awa an bile yer heid!

Regarding the "Morons or Heid-Biling" debate above...

Scot Student,

I am an American of Scottish descent, whose ansectors arrived from Kintyre, Scotland in 1774. Two years before our American Revolution. My ancestors arrived into Wilmigton, North Carolina and some fought in this war.

You may know that our First President was George Washington - A Scotsman. I believe 61 of our Presidents have been of Scottish descent.

There is a tremendous amount of information available for your research on the internet.

Try "Google" search engine: Scottish Men Who Fought in the American Revolutionary War.

Try:

Hope this helps!

Cheryl
