Abbotshall is an area of Kirkcaldy in Fife, maybe something to do with that.
However, the Fife Parish index states: ABBOTSHALL: (abbots-hawl) A hall or residence of the Abbot.(in this case of Dunfermline). I'll hunt around a bit and see if I can get a more precise location. |

From what I can see, Abbotshall was a large parish just adjacent (west) to Kirkcaldy. Certainly a large area of the present town of Kirkcaldy is known as Abbotshall, and there is a parish church there (now part of Kirkcaldy parish). I hope that some of these links may prove useful to you:
