My heritage goes back to the author James Stuart Glennie who wrote Artharian localities in 1869.However in all I have I do not know what part the children of Scotland play in the Christmas Holiday Traditions. My grandaughter is doing her Scottish Heritage in school and asked that I find this out for her.Can someone help me before next Tuesday.I would really appreciate this.I only know it is actually done on the first month the first day. Thanks nanof9

Hello

I'm sorry, but I don't understand your allusion to 'the first month of the first day'...

Scotland has, traditionally, not made a great deal of Christmas. Until fairly recently it was not even a bank holiday It is predominantly a holiday for children. It is still a religious holiday.
Our traditions follow closely the English/German model.

Our biggest celebration is usually Hogmanay (New Year's Eve).
