I have seen many different theories as to who Jack the ripper was and what motivated him.One theory is that he was a mason. His message that"the Juwes(sic) are not the ones who will be blamed for nothing " was first thought to have an anti-semitic meaning however the 'Juwes' had some kind of link with the history of the Masonic order. One possible suspect was The Duke of Clarence,Queen Victoria's son but the most convincing theory I have seen blames a Liverpool businessman James Maybrick. He was poisoned by his wife in 1889 and in his diaries he confessed to being Jack the ripper. No further murders were commited after he died.It is unlikely that any fresh evidence will be found now so it will probably remain an unsolved mystery.

That is so interesting! Where do you get your sources? I would really like to know more about all the possible people involved and/or suspected! Thank you so much for a reply also.

Take care

Jack the Ripper site

I did a quick search on Google and came up with the following site - cannot vouch for the facts there, but you may find it interesting!

I have read quite a few books on Jack the Ripper and I also studied Victorian Britain as part of my history degree. The link which Polwarth has provided above is probably one of the better sites dealing with the subject and it should provide you with plenty of information on the major suspects and theories etc.
