It really does depend on who you talk to. A quick tour of many nationalist web forums (both Scottish and English) can reveal intense xenephobia towards the other, but these irrational views are fortunately held by a distinct minority.

I have English work colleagues, neighbours, and went to school and college with English people; and I have to say that there is absolutely no animosity at all. Quite a few Scots live in England and have no problems with the natives.
People in both countries are mature enough for there to be no significant trouble. Of course you get idiots in any country, we are not short of them in Scotland, and discussion forums act as a magnet to them! |

Thanks for all of your replys. I was just curious because I've read a lot of books about England and Scotland. I know that here in the U.S. there's still much anger between blacks and whites. Even though the war has been over for a very long time. It all really boils down to ignorance and immaturity.
