Thumbs up

Hi Polwarth, that's great news. But how does it effect the rest of your life? I mean, can you still light a fire, light fireworks, strike maches or even put a straw in your mouth when you are at Burger King.

Only playing with you. lol. I think that if this works for you then thats great and maybe now, more people will try it!

Hope this is the end of smoking for you!

Congrats from C.C.

Some thoughts on Smoking

Perhaps for some the way to be able to stop smoking would be to educate yourselves on the realities of what it will do to you. If you have children, think of them wondering why you chose to carry on smoking rather than to have a longer life with them. Think of them as they watch you suffering from emphysema, listening to your wracking coughs. Think of how they will feel when your disease progresses and causes the arteries in your body to become blocked, causing your hands and feet to become numb. Think of them when the main arteries to your legs become blocked and gangrene sets in to both of your feet, causing your legs to be amputated six inches above each knee. And when the fingers of your hands turn blue and likewise have to be removed 3 weeks later. Then three weeks after that, think of your children as gangrene progresses to your intestines and causes a massive haemorrhage and finally, mercifully - death. Think of that, and have another cigarette.

hey, ya know, I started after inhaling 2nd hand most of my life from my uncle, that and It is a great stress relief program, but I tried to quit last christmas, but then college started again, and geeze, I need another. sorry, but I know how you feel, and about the diseases, I'm probably not going to live to see 90 anyways due to the fact that I live in the states. there is no telling what I'm inhaling right now. especially with an old armory just 35 miles from where I sit now. If I'm gonna go, I'll go doing sometheing I enjoy doing.

Afi, I smoked 1 pack a day for 12 years, I smoked my last one on December 6 2001, noe that hasn't been that long ago but for me to go this long without a ciggarette is saying something. I had a plan that took several weeks. Weeks 1 and 2 I smoked 10 ciggarettes per day. ( some willpower will still be involved ). Weeks 3 aand 4 I went down to 8, week 5 I smoked 6 per day. week 6 I smoked 4 per day, and by week 7 I was smoking 1 or 2 a day and after that week I could put them down. I still want one, but it is getting a little easier. Hope something works for you.
