Edinburgh - A Brief Guide on Scotland's Capital
Hi Every Body,
How are you? How is life? Edinburgh is a city rich in tradition, culture, and history. From castles to golfing it is a place of natural beauty with many attractions. Whether you are coming to Edinburgh for vacation, work, study or just a round of golf, you wont leave disappointed. Edinburgh has been known by many names - Auld reekie, Athens of the North, Festival city - and is one of Europe's most striking cities. The city is formed around the famous Edinburgh Castle, and you can't ask for a more spectacular sight right in the heart of the city. Leading down form the castle is the Royal Mile, a stretch that connects the castle all the way down to Holyrood Palace (the Queens residence in Scotland) and the neighboring Scottish Parliament building. A vibrant street full of wonderful pubs, gift shops and street entertainers, not to mention the Scottish Whiskey Heritage Building. Come August, you will see the city's population quadruple, as it hosts the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the biggest of its kind in the world. With an array of shows from the magnificent Military Tattoo, comedy at the Pleasance, a host of Theater performances, you wont be left short of entertainment. All this ended with a spectacular fireworks display from the castle. Just wonderful. You will also find one of the worlds oldest University's, noted for its academic excellence. Beneath the city you will find chambers from century's ago that some say are haunted! Why not see for yourself on one of the many ghost tours available. See the incredible city view from Calton Hill where you'll also find the unfinished replica of the Greece's Athenian acropolis. Watch the pipers play as you enjoy some of the best scotch whiskey, and taste the national dish of haggis, if you dare! Best Regards.. Last edited by kathyv; 14th October 2009 at 21:36. Well, how clever of you to use a blurb about Edinburgh on here - and of course, it allows you to spam with your signature regarding B&B in the USA, doesn't it?

Thanks, Kathy.
This sort of poster needs to be banned, not just have his/her signature removed!

Anyone who knows anything about Scotland knows that we don't produce whiskey but that we do produce whisky.
