Drizzling a little olive oil, instead of butter, on your vegetables may bolster your efforts to avoid Alzheimer's disease.

A recent study revealed a correlation between Alzheimer's disease and certain kinds of fat. More research is needed, but an early study revealed that people who consumed ample amounts of healthy fats and less saturated fat had a lower risk of the disease. Olive oil, canola oil, and nuts all contain healthful unsaturated, non-hydrogenated fts.

Hey Texas,

That's a great idea for another reason... there's new research out that finds eating veggies without accompanying fat prevents the absorption of the veggie's micronutrients! I've linked the research article on my blog:

Bronshawdcot: Thanks for providing that link...it was VERY interesting. I'm going to try some raw aratichole...and, the biofuel! WOW...imagine, ourvegetables fueling our cars WOW.
