hi!!!

i've been busy at work and celebrating someone's birthday... haven't had a chance to check posts, but i'm back now.

i really want to encourage each of you to take a chance and set your OWN goals and post them here. I feel like everyone is trying to follow my goals, and i think they are good goals, but that wasn't the idea. The thing about stating your OWN goals in specific terms and posting them where others can see is then... then they are your OWN and everyone knows it. Without it, well, i think it's avoiding commitment until you see how well you can do, and that's not really a commitment.

And it doesn't matter if your goals are big or small... only that they head you in the right direction! What matters is the commitment to do something for your own health, for you!

I'll be back later, got to run to work.

Good to see you, Purplethistle! you too, Eppie! Texas, you still there?

day of lesiure

I have been so good and spent 2 hrs at gym and pool today
and drank a cup of greentea.

It is really encouraging when I check my records and see that each week I have gone to the gym I have increased the weight by 5lb on each peice of the fast track equipment. It gets costly having a personal trainer all the time but I think I now can go it alone for a while.

So come on over, the kettle is on and the tea pot is simmering. As for the cakes and muffins well, they are hidden in the cupboard.

You GO GIRL!!!!!!!!!

...hey....
what do you think about the "before and after photos" idea? I've been thinking about doing it but feel a little chicken.

And would you pour me a cup of green tea, please?

Monday, aggggaaaaaaaaain?

but i exercised.

c'mon you guys... just start with a little itty bit! it's more important to make it a habit than how much you do.

and you can make it fun, too... like going to a kids park and playing with your kids. Or running around with a dog. What else?

Okay i have a question for everyone...

Who can spare just 8 minutes a day to shed pounds and improve your health?

Just EIGHT minutes?

i've tried several short daily routines... 15 minutes or less, and so long as they include muscle toning challenges they really do work! Your body will get toned and you will lose weight... consistency is more important than the length of the workout.

Surely you can commit to just 8 minutes a day for a month, can't you?

8 Minutes in the Morning:

Here's another one i've tried, designed by a female doctor who is 60 years old and has a better body than most 20 year olds:

12 Minute Total Body Workout:

And here is a 12 minute workout by Denise Austin:

And here is one called The Power of 10 for 20-25 minutes once a week:

If you pick one out, i will do it with you!
