hi Eppie!!!

I need you guys to stay motivated, too!

I tend to be very anti-gadget/equipment. I get tempted too, particularly by infomercial exercise stuff, but i'm excellent at resisting ever since i've made myself exercise for ten days before i buy anything. See, i figure the diet and exercise industry is so huge and yet we're so unhealthy because we unconsciously think that BUYING it will make us healthy, or fit for less work. We buy it, we try it, it sits, it winds up in a garage sale! It's DOING that makes us healthy, and funny thing is, we don't really need any equipment other than our body.

So i'd say, if you can walk on the sidewalk for at least ten days, then maybe it makes sense to consider a treadmill. The weather may not always be great, but the scenery is better and you get used to the weather... you might find you like it better. If you get a really bad weather day, walk around your house and put things in place at the same time. Work gives us twice as much benefit for our time.

As for the VCR... personally, i'd replace it... VCR's are pretty cheap now, but alternatively you could go to the library and borrow exercise DVD's. I love sampling exercise programs and cookbooks this way. The Public Library is still one of the best deals in the world!

I'm glad you posted, i'm inspired now to drink my water and exercise today!

I'm ADDICTED to the treadmill at the local (school) gym; fasnkly, I prefer walking outside, but when the weather interrupts...so I just get on the 'mill and walk...the benefits are the same! As for drinking more water...well...not so good about that. ya'll so it for me!

well i would love to walk outside more but i have a 4 year old and now that the time has changed we cannot walk when i get home from work as it is too dark. we cannot walk before work as it is too dark. so i am limited on fresh air, outside walking. thus i would love a treadmill! i used to use them amlost daily at the local spa but that was too expensive to maintain after i had my son...especially since they had no child care there and i had no one to leave him with!

vcr... will replace it but with christmas & my son's birthday coming up there are more important things to consider! will check out the workout videos at the library! i love renting books on audio there as they are so much fun to listen to! i only rent the ones i have read before and want to hear someone put voices with characters!

well, let's stick to the water & i'll work on renting a dvd if they have on at the library!

you know i was offered a treadmill and an exercise bike this year by two different people and i turned them down because i'm trying to keep clutter at bay. Wish i could send them your way!

YAY! I exercised this morning. I think i'm doing it about 50/50. Gilad this morning. And i've had a pot of tea, which i find hydrates me as well as water, though coffee does not... i wonder why?

you go girl!!! i did not excercise this morning so i need to tomorrow morning. btw... coffee helps dehyrate your body naturally. tea does the same actually. any drink with caffine dehydrates your body so for every drink with caffine in it you should drink the same amount of water.

i'm going to get up tomorrow and exercise...thanks for the inspiration!!!!
