Lung Cancer

Hi everybody.I seen there was another Cancer thread but I didnt want to intrude but I need help with something.Im 20 years old and we just found out that my grandfather has lung cancer.I was really upset about it because he raised me,he was always a healthy man.Well we found out maybe a month or two ago.the doctor thinks poppys cancer is incurable,but they decided to do the chemo treatment anyway on tuesday. yesterday my popppy got put in the husband because he passed out.he had a dizzy spell in the shower and didnt tell anybody and than he pizzed out a few hours later in t he kitchen.hes still in the hospital but they beleive its from the chemo.hes 82 years old and he was alwyas in okay shape.the doctor asked him if he wanted to know how long he has to live and he said no but i think id want to know i guess to prepare myself or something like that.but 30% of his one kidney isnt working i guess i was just writing this thread to find out more about lung cancre and how ot not be so upset over it.if anybody has any advice id really appreciate

I don't know much about cancer myself even though my grandad died
of it and my father/in/law too, different types of cancer, one was slow
and the other was within 4 days of it being diagnosed.

I can understand your grandad not wanting to know, he will just want to
enjoy the time he has with his loved ones and not be thinking how
many days he has left.

Hi Babz yeah I understand why he doesnt want to know its just frusterating wondering if im going top wake up and get a phone call you know?
