Hi Susandel and Lorilu!! Well, I've been to Scotland and back---it was really nice; actually, wonderful!! The people I/we (the other Cunninghams I was with) interacted with were so nice, so helpful to us---I wish I had the money to be able to stay much longer than I did. Even the weather was fine!! (it was sunny, with mild temperatures)
Edinburgh is just beautiful; I swear history whispers to you at each corner and/or every street you walk on. I kept thinking there were going to be car wrecks, because I kept looking for cars to be on the right side of the roads, and they weren't. And, buildings' first floor is our ground floor...THEN I had to readjust when I came back; but, it's fun---something not serious to laugh at. All-in-all, it was just great! I hoped that I could have access to a computer so I could keep in touch with you---how is everyone?? Susandel? Lorilu? How're things? |

hey,
so glad you had a good trip. How are you feeling? I have been hanging in there and Susan & I have been e-mailing each other direct. Sometimes a public forum is inappropriate for venting on bad days, hahahaha. All in all I have no major complaints at this time, I am happy to say. So glad to hear from you and glad that your trip was great. Maybe one day I can go there as well. It would be wonderful. Did you take picts????? hope you got some good ones cant wait to see. take care.

Lorilu, the trip was just FINE!! Edinburgh is such an interesting city! Plus, compared to Houston, I thought it was beautiful!! All the sights that a person will not see in America: the alleys named "King's Royal Stables close"
or "Ladies Wear close"; all the small shops with ALL the KILTS!! And, there were some men in kilts...it was so very 'neat/cool/nifty, etc"---and all good! The haggis was good; it compares to our boudin, but the versiob I ate was mild, not spicy. Lorilu, I swear I history whispered around EVERY corner, especially the Castle in Edinburgh! The people I dealt with were nice; this is funny, but I found the Scots WERE friendlier than the English, but, then as an American, I'm just used to being friendly to other people, what the heck?! Or, maybe it's because...I was in a foreign country...Anyway, Scotland was sgreat...I will say that they should be happy that I did not even try to drive...I think all those people were driving on the wrong side of the street!! |
