"A new study from the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center shows that regularly taking brisk walks or engaging in other moderate physical activity can reduce your overall breast-cancer risk by 20%--even if you don't begin exercising until later in life."

Breakthrough: Pizza and green tea can protect you from cancer!

It's mysterious and deadly. And what makes ovarian cancer particularly scary is that even though it's the sixth most common cancer among women, (excluding skin cancer), it's very difficult to detect early. "There usually are no symptoms in the early stages," explains cancer specialist Mitchell Gaynor, M.D., author of Dr. Gaynor's Cancer PRevention Program."

Fortunately, the latest research shows that you can dramatically slash your risk of ever getting this life-threatening disease just by:

Switching to the brand-new pill. IT's long been known that taking birth control pills for at least five years can cut a woman's ovarian cancer risk a full 60% -- and new research indicates that protection lasts as long as 20 years! How does it work? By suppressing ovulation, which is why one pill in particular -- Seasonale -- may offer the best cancer protection of all. Unlike other versions of the pill, newly approved Seasonale is taken for 84 days in a row, so you ovulate only four times a year, rather than 12 or 13, say experts. Talk to your doctor about it.

Drinking green tea. Brand-new Australian research reveals that daily doses of this antioxidant-rich brew can slash your risk of developing ovarian cancer by 77%. How? "Green tea inhibits the formation of new blood vessels around a tumor," Dr. Gaynor explains. "And tumors can't grow without new blood vessels." But that's not all -- the brew contains the chemical EGCG, which helps kill off cancer cells. Aim for at least two to three cups a day.

Loading up on pizza. According to Harvard research, thatnks to high levels of a plant chemical called lycopene in tomato-based sauces, eating pizza twice a week can cut your risk of ovarian cancer by 40%!

Treating yourself to a latte. If you're like most women, you don't get enough calcium each day -- at least 1,000 mg. (1,5000 mg., if you're post-menopausal). But doing so will not only strengthen your bones, it'll protect your ovaries! Federal investigators discovered that women who are least likely to get the disease consume at least one dairy serving each day -- and a steaming cup of latte or hot chocolate count, delivering an average of 500 mg. of calcium and 300 mg., respectively.
