I had to try it to believe it.

I saw a book at the library... it's on the best sellers list now, i believe, called:

8 Minutes in the Morning ...by Jorge Cruise

I've been trying it for 17 days and i already see great improvement in my physique. It's really amazing that so little time, properly done, can make such a difference so quickly, but it's true. I've also lost about 4 pounds (and it does claim to guarantee a loss of up to 2 pounds a week), but i am more pleased with my change in shape.

I've only changed a couple of things for me, based on research i've read in Prevention Magazine.

The first is, Prev. Mag reported a study which proved that people who do weight training in sets do not show greater muscle gain than people who do a single, identical set. The theory is, it only matters that you really challenge your muscle once, and then give it a chance to rest and rebuild. Repeating sets, then, gives no benefit.

The other is, Prev. Mag reported that people who stretch their muscle IMMEDIATELY following working it, build muscle 20% faster than those who do not stretch. Scientists are baffled as to why, but the results are clear. I figure it's like getting 20% more for free without work, so i take great care now in stretching a muscle right after i work it. If i do crunches, for example, i then lie on my back and stretch my arms above me head and my legs away from me for a few minutes before i procede to the next exercise.

The diet part of the book i read, but have not been following. I have, however, moved in the direction of eating more similarly to how Cruise describes a healthy diet. Personally i've learned to never restrict my calories because it makes me AN INSANE WOMAN!!!! I do not restrict my calories as a public service! LOL! Instead if i just try to eat better foods... less sugar or junk food and more vegetables, fruits, whole grains and lean meats, i do just fine, lose a couple pounds and feel much better, too.

Anyway, if you are feeling out of shape i hope you'll give this book a try, it's a piece of cake! You do just two exercises each morning... it only takes 8 minutes, really! This morning i did Standing Kickbacks and One-Arm Curls until my arms felt like jelly, and then i stretched them and was done for the day!!!!

oh... special equipment... all you need for this are three sets of dumbells... a light set, a medium set, and a heavy set for you... or i have a set of adjustable dumbells, that go from 2 pounds to 10.
