Reclaimed Land is it good or Bad for your Health

Reclaimed Land in Fife is being used to build private housing,how can people possibly find safety in houses that are built over the top of Old Mine workings and over the area that used to be used for refuse dumping by Fife Council
is that not dangerous what about when there is an problems with Methane gas caused by Rubbish buried years ago and the old coal mine workings,the school I used to go to north of Kingseat near Dunfermline the classrooms were at 30degree angle as school was subsiding, eventually was demolished and now I have been told they are going to build private housing there..Whats happening to Scotland does no one care as long as 'Profits are good.'
