Allergie

hi,

is there somebody out there, who has also a "protein"(?) allergie??
(can`t eat/drink: seafood, yoghurt , milk even soymilk
-> ricemilk works, but it is soooo awful; oakmilk is better <-
eggs, mussels and so on....
if so, how do you live with that?? and do the doctors tell you that there is hope, that one day you will able to eat all these fine things again. (my doctors told me that i have to avoid all this stuff and it will last for my whole life.... i am so "unhappy"!)

i have a son gareth is his name he cannot have any dairy products nor anything with gluten,which means there is a lot of things we enjoy that he cannot have pizzas,curries,potatoes,chips,he is only 15, now but seems to cope with this apart from the fact he cannot have sandwiches like his pals as a gluten free loaf costs nearly £2 he is unhappy about this but just shrugs and says sooner or later they will be able to help him so keep your chin up things CAN only get better, as he says! he is special there are very few people around like him so just put up with it and hope for a brighter future where you can eat what you want.

it is so sad to hear this!
i am sure ONE DAY they will find something against all this, but WHEN????
how old is gareth?
what are his "reaction" of these products??
when i eat fish i would die because i can`t breath anymore..

but if he "only" have neurodermitis, there is something new on the market.. snakepoison (i know it sounds strange!!, but i saw a lot of babies and young children who can eat everything now, it worked!!!!)

cheers tanni hope things work out for you to.
with some of the products it causes rashes,swelling in the throat,can lead to a coma,causes problems with his breathing.but if he watches what he eats he can lead a normalish life.
