Has anyone tried the ATKINS diet? Were you cut out, and then cut down your intake of carbohydrates. This is to make your body burn its own reserves of fat. Does it work?

Thumbs up The Atkins Diet

I've just started the program well actually been a week soon, I feel pretty good and can feel the difference in my clothes. I have more energy and don't feel so bloated so I think it's worth a go for you. Mind I'd kill for a nice piece of homemade bread.

HI!!!

i have been on the plan since the first of june... i have managed to lose 72 lbs in that time. it is the best plan that i have ever done... it was very easy for me. i am convinced that it had something to do with the true desire to lose weight. i have another friend that did it and lost and maintained 90 lbs weight loss for the last 5-6 years.

i must say that the fact that i love meat has probably helped me... but it is amazing to me that i have not craved anything. when i first started and if i got hungry between meals, i would snack on cheese. that would get me past any hunger. i only craved something sweet once and i drank a diet coke and found that the craving disappeared.

i, too have loads more energy. i have no brain fog. my allergies have started clearing up. i am not hungry anymore. i am also monitoring my cholesterol... i do recommend you do this... but my numbers are going down where they should and up where they should. i have been very happy with that... blood pressure is also down too.

one thing that i highly recommend is that if you do this.. make sure that you get variety in your diet... do not eat the same thing everyday... you will get bored and will be likely to quit... i will check this frequently and if you have any questions or are in need of support, i will be around.

good luck with the diet if you decide to do it... i promise you... it works and it works quickly!!
