Hi I am a mom with a son in Cub Scouts. We are doing a project for our Blue and Gold Banquet, and need information on Scotland. Something interesting that does not deal with golf or the lockness monster (which is there first idea). I am looking for craft ideas and recipes that come from Scotland. Something easy for boys and yet good to eat. If you have any ideas I would greatly appreciate them.

Hi Melady...
seeing that noone has replied as of yet, even though I'm not from Scotland I do have a scottish recipe book that I brought back from there, if you want to contact me at Knight269@hotmail.com would be happy to help and also hope we can be pen pals? or e pals. Hope to hear from you, Catty |

hmmm...someone got this wrong or does my lap top have a glitch? to the boy scout mother...i hate to be the repetitive monk but the gay and lesbian and gendered community relations with the boy scouts isnt exactly on speaking terms...
HAVE YOU TRIED BARNES AND NOBLES.COM OR BOOKS.com? you will have a better chance of obtaining what you need there. |

It's not about penpals, but hey, I can at least help out this once with this perhaps misplaced discussion item :-)))
When visisting Scotland I found the heather bundles a nice thing to make and give to people. Some pieces of heather are tied together in a bundle and given for good luck. They are easy to make, good fun in gathering heather during a nice walk and teaches children that if you want to give something with a good intention (wishing all the luck) it doesn't have to cost a lot of money.
